I am interested in social relations and in the place of individuals in society. How do we realate to each other? How strong is the significance of culture and social rank in our interaction with others?
I have photographed maids in hotels, first at work and then privately. I have met almost 50 maids in seven countries, at 18 hotels in 14 cities.
